In bare feet...
Beware!!
Of sticky, icky,
Gum on
the ground!

Rocks in one pocket,
dirt in the other…
Mixed up with
precious “treasures!”
Mud caked shoes
filled with grimy socks...

Grass stains on the knees
Of their pants…
Gritty, slimy, hands.
Tonight, they will
dream of
‘Far off lands’…
It is safe to say,
The kids…
had a wonderful,
Enchanting, day of play…
